Overview:
This is a teacher / facilitator resource specific to Self Efficacy and Indigenous Development. Although it can be used for personal usage, it is found to work better in a group setting with other individuals seeking to strengthen and develop their Indigenous core.
SEID Curriculum Overall Expectations:
By the end of this course, students will:
- Describe traditional and contemporary beliefs and values of Indigenous cultures that influence present-day activities and behaviors
- Identify aspects of cultural identity related to specific Indigenous peoples
SEID Curriculum Specific Expecations:
By the end of this course, students will:
- Describe how Indigenous peoples can express their distinctive identity in multicultural Canada
- Describe the primary values in relationships (ie. inclusiveness, fairness, respect) that Indigenous people want to acheive
